Tea Inspired Valentine's with Peter Kuruvita… An eve where lovers of tea and food combined – to witness Chef and Restaurateur Peter Kuruvita in action!
Peter Kuruvita visited the t-Lounge by Dilmah at Chatham street on the 08th of February to introduce few tea-inspired dishes specially created for Valentines. This special event held from 6.00pm to 7.00pm drew many foodies, bloggers and our loyal customers to witness the celebrity chef and international restaurateur launching two sweet and two savoury food items.
The savoury menu comprised of the following:
Supreme Ceylon Smoked Salmon Tostadas
Fresh smoked salmon with Supreme Ceylon Tea and Mesquite wood chips, served in a unique preparation that bring together tomato, onions, pumpkin and sesame seeds, all spice and chilli.
Ceylon Green Tea Onigiri with Lagoon Prawns
An inspiring addition to Colombo’s sushi scene, our gentle Ceylon Green Tea infused-Onigiri finds juicy Lagoon Prawns complemented by kombu, authentic nori, soy caramel and Kewpie mayonnaise.

Spiced Chai Caramel Mousse
A chilled dessert of warm spice, our smooth chocolate and chai mousse is flavored with fragrant chai spices combined with black garlic, Frangelico, tarragon, nutmeg, strawberry, and almond.
Ceylon Cinnamon Doughnuts with Earl Grey Tea Anglaise and Pecans.
Crisp, light doughnuts, infused with Ceylon cinnamon and vanilla bean, are topped with a velvety Earl Grey tea-infused glaze and crunchy bits of pecans.
